My Photo Gallery

The first evening of bug collecting was rained out.  The forecast had been for 90% chance of thunderstorms, it should have been 100% for the evening.  But here are some photos of the kids and the evening classro0om sessions.  We started the training with Bug Collecting 101 by Karen Benson with assistance from the crowd (Dr. John and Dr. Mike setting her straight).  Dr. David filled in with order identification hints.

The kids enjoyed arts and crafts with Karen.  The each prepared their Bug Book for recording their finds.

Dr. Giesemann taught the kids a little about GPS (Global Positioning Satellites) and their use in identifying the geographic information related to plants, insects and their environment.
